It is a very weak gas filament which wraps HD 244068, a spectral class F and magnitude 10.0 star, which imparts to a whitish color of the nebula. The measurement of the parallax indicates a value of 82.5 mas , which corresponds to a distance of only 12 parsecs (39 light-years).
